Contents Sum Insured Calculator

Not sure how much your contents should be insured for? This handy contents sum insured calculator will help give you a basic estimate.

What do you need to do?

Start estimating the cost to replace the contents of your home with this handy calculator. The intention of this is to gain an understanding of how much it would cost to replace everything you own that is covered by your policy. To help you with that, you can try one of the following:

  • Manually calculate the value of all of your items that are covered by your policy - This may include valuations or quotes for more valuable assets; or
  • You can use the below online calculator. This calculator will give you an estimate based on the information you provide about your home, but it is important to note that it is purely an estimate based on market data, not your specific circumstances, and the acceptance of the output should be considered in that framing.

Note: Please refer to your adviser or your policy wording to understand what is included in your contents policy vs. what's included in your home policy, as items such as appliances can vary. You will likely need formal valuations for jewellery, antiques and artworks.
